The Masai Mara reserve is available throughout the year. However, the best season to visit is during the long cool-dry season from July to October. The absence of rain means that the flora is less dense, so animals are easier to observe. Additionally, insect levels, including mosquitoes, are lower during the dry season. It’s also the month for great migration, millions of wildebeest and zebras brave the treacherous waters of the Mara River, navigating swift currents and evading hungry crocodiles.
